Hair Repair

With the cold weather, our skin and hair are begging for moisture. Here are two hydrating hair masques you can make at home easily from ingredients you probably already have. Cold winter days are a great time to pamper yourself.

Aloe Vera and Honey Hair Growth Mask

1/2 cup pure aloe vera gel 2 tbsp raw honey 1 tbsp coconut oil 6 drops lavender essential oil (or any essential oil you choose for fragrance)

  • In a large mixing bowl, add the aloe vera gel, honey, and coconut oil.

  • Whip these ingredients together using your hand mixer, Keep whipping until it forms a smooth cream, about 6 minutes.

  • Add in the essential oil and then whip the mixture for one more minute.

  • Spoon your mixture into your air-tight containers and store in a air tight, dark container. Light will cause the conditioner to degrade.

How to use it:

Apply about 1 tablespoon to freshly-washed hair and keep it on an hour. Put on a shower cap and let it marinate. Rinse with lukewarm water. You can use two to three times per week.
